One of the most valuable things in aviation safety is an excellent cooperation of organizations involved in aircraft operations. The UK Airport Safety Week is an example of such networking amongst aerodrome operators. The eye to eye meetings, site visits, sharing of information, procedures and best practices help all of us to understand hazards and risks better and set up the best possible Risk mitigation measures. I appreciate especially the willingness of the colleagues from UK airports to share Safety information with other parties, despite of living in the age of information security and data protection. This is the right way towards building the real Safety culture at airports and continuous improvement of the Safety Management Systems in Europe. It was my pleasure to be a part of the UK Airport Safety Week and in return I invite UK colleagues to Prague for our traditional Safety week and the Safety conference, 22nd November 2018.
