The AOA is the Trade Association representing the interests of UK airports. With nearly 47 airports and 150 non-airport members, the Association has broad recognition across the sector, in the press and in Government. The AOA’s mission is to see UK airports continue to grow sustainably, an ambition we support through our work representing the interests of the industry in Westminster, Whitehall and with the Regulator.

The Association is a member of ACI Europe, whose members include over 500 airports in 45 countries and account for 90% of European commercial air traffic. We also engage extensively with Sustainable Aviation, the UK coalition of airports, airlines, aerospace manufactures and air navigation service providers which sets out a collective, long-term strategy to ensure a sustainable future for UK aviation that is cleaner, quieter and smarter.

Finally, the AOA also serves as a focal point for knowledge and best practice sharing for its members. The Association facilitates 11 industry working groups as well as specialists’ conferences, workshops and networking events throughout the year, where key issues affecting the sector are discussed and debated. The AOA maintains frequent dialogue with government representatives and engages regularly in a collaborative and productive way.
